Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Project Assistant is assigned to the Georgia Resident Mission (GRM) within the Central and West Department (CWRD). You will be based at our Resident Mission Office in Tbilisi, Georgia.
You will report to the designated International Staff and National Staff of GRM.
Your Role
As a Project Assistant, you will provide operational and analytical support for strategizing GRM’s operational directions and managing the country’s portfolio.
You will:
- Provide support to all Georgia technical assistance (TAs) and Regional TAs, including tracking responsibilities, consultant management, deliverables, and developing a demand-driven TA engagement approach, amidst numerous requests and ongoing projects.
- Provide support to processing and monitoring all No-Objection letters and requests related to TAs – requires engaging with government officials and HQ.
- Provide support to training, knowledge management and related activities involving government counterparts, including identifying appropriate agencies, handling logistics, and coordinating with HQ colleagues.
- Perform other tasks as assigned and reflected in your workplan.
Qualifications
You will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience; preferably with related experience in international agencies.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, and Georgian language.
- Proficiency in standard software programs and information technologies such as Office 365 including the use of project management tools.
- Good general understanding of ADB’s purpose and operations in Georgia.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with high regards to confidentiality and urgent situations.
- Ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
