About this position
We are looking for an experienced professional to provide a talent sourcing strategy to feed the IDB Group’s talent pipeline. As a Talent Sourcing Consultant, your challenge will be to leverage your business acumen, curiosity, creativity, and relationship-building skills to attract a strong, diverse talent pipeline.
Reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Head, you will work in the Talent Management Division (TLM) within the Human Resources Department (HRD). The Human Resources Department is responsible for the administration and development of the human capital of the IDB Group. The main functions of the department include managing the entire employee lifecycle, overseeing the implementation of the People Strategy, and implementing programs and methodologies in direct support of the IDB’s mission. HRD is also dedicated to delivering human-centered experiences and strategically partnering with professionals who are passionate about improving lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. What you’ll do
Play a crucial role in the global talent attraction and acquisition processes by identifying and engaging with active and passive candidates for the IDB Group’s niche hiring needs.
Collaborate closely with the team of IDB recruiters and internal clients to understand hiring needs, align sourcing strategies, and deliver high-quality candidates that meet the IDB’s objectives for a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Leverage sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job boards, and Boolean searches to source potential candidates filling the talent pipeline for in-demand roles.
Develop a network of professionals and potential candidates by maintaining relationships and sharing information to brand the IDB’s employee value proposition.
Craft compelling outbound messages to attract and engage promising passive candidates into a strong diverse talent pipeline.
Guide qualified candidates through the application process, serving as a resource for their future recruitment success.
Review resumes and online profiles to pre-screen candidates before seamlessly handing qualified candidates over to the recruiter.
Proactively research and identify emerging trends within the IDB Group’s candidate profile of mission-driven professionals.
Track sourcing metrics and provide insightful strategies on the talent marketplace to optimize the talent acquisition process.
Leverage data to drive continuous improvement and innovation to the process.
Foster strong relationships with internal clients while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism to ensure a smooth and efficient recruiting experience.
What you’ll need
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field required. A master’s degree is preferable.
Experience: A minimum of two years of sourcing/recruiting experience, ideally in a multinational environment including Latin America and/or the Caribbean.
Languages: Excellent written and verbal skills in English (additional knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French is a plus).
Innovate and take risks: Approach each new talent search with a creative, eager eye that requires ingenuity to find the right candidate, at the right time, in the right place.
Communicate and influence: Articulate key messages tailored to the needs of diverse audiences based on effective listening skills to understand and empathize with others in an assertive and emotional manner.
Focus on clients: Support internal clients by anticipating their needs and delivering a high-quality work product that is efficient yet thorough.
Learn continuously: Propose and implement creative new recruiting ideas and initiatives based on experience and subject matter expertise.
Collaborate and share knowledge: Continually acquire new functional skills and redefine recruiting strategies to keep current and maximize the team’s success.
Requirements
Citizenship [1]: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in selected countries (see foot note for selected countries).
Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract: Consultant Full-time
Length of contract: 18 months initially, renewable for an additional 18 months upon mutual agreement.
Work Location: In a country where the IDB Group has an office.
