Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and will continue significant scale-up in 2024 to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
About the job
Shelter and Infrastructure Officer Development Department will play a key role in DRC’s response to the needs of Southern Ukraine. Implementation of projects aimed at developing alternative energy, electricity, combined heat and power, district heating and cooling, and liquid and gas biofuels.
This area includes providing technical support, ensuring effective planning, implementation and follow-up of all technical aspects of the sector’s activities in the programs implemented by DRC. Shelter and Infrastructure Officer will maintain good relations with relevant stakeholders and other humanitarian actors to ensure proper implementation and coordination of DRC sector activities. This position has territorial coverage and ensures compliance with DRC procedures and guidelines in the South Ukraine area.

About you
To be successful in the role of Shelter and Infrastructure Officer, we expect you to have at least 3 years of experience in the implementation of energy projects focused on alternative energy. Also we expect the following:
