Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and will continue significant scale-up in 2024 to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
DRC is currently looking for an Economic Recovery Officer (Rural Livelihoods) in Mykolaiv.
About the job
Under the management of the Economic Recovery Team Leader, the Economic Recovery Officer (Rural Livelihoods) is responsible for coordinating and leading the implementation of economic recovery activities focusing on rural households and businesses as well as agricultural value chain development, including but not limited to provision of sectoral cash to subsistence and small-scale farmers and providing grants and capacity building to agri-businesses. S/he will work closely with communities, civil society organizations (CSOs), and government services to implement the EcRec program portfolion. S/he will be based in Mykolaiv DRC office, with field activities in Mykolaiv and Kherson oblast.

To be successful in this role of Economic Recovery Officer (Rural Livelihoods) we expect you to be able to ensure the quality of the planning, implementation and follow-up of all technical aspects of the sector activities being implemented by DRC, as well as to develop and maintain good relations with the persons of concern, relevant stakeholders and other humanitarian actors, to support adequate implementation and coordination of DRC’s sector activities.
