The Organization
Plan International is a humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and gender equality. We believe in the power and potential of every child, but we know that this is often stifled by poverty, violence, exclusion, social norms and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.
Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we seek a fairer and more sustainable world that addresses the root causes of the challenges that girls and vulnerable children may face.
We support girls and more broadly all children from birth to adulthood to develop their autonomy and give them the capacity to decide for their lives in development and/or emergency situations. We stimulate changes in practices and policies at local, national and global levels thanks to our reach, our experience and our knowledge of needs, realities and inequalities.
For over 85 years, we’ve mobilized other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in over 80 countries. Together, we won’t stop.
Until equality!
