The Laboratory Technologist (European Union) undertakes scientific and technical work of the CARPHA Medical Microbiology Laboratory ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to at all times. The incumbent is expected to respond positively to the changing demands of the service, through communication, setting standards and achieving results. The incumbent is also expected to cross-train through all units of the laboratory to provide a flexible service.

Appointment may be on contract or on secondment from a Public Service or a statutory body of a Member State or approved regional organization. It will be subject to such staff rules and policies, rules, regulations, orders and instructions as exist and as may be introduced from time to time with respect to service with the Caribbean Public Health Agency
