EXPECTED OUTPUTS AND TIMELINES 1. Design and Production of Materials: • Conduct interviews, draft, and finalize individual stories. The stories must be published on the ITC/ARRIVES website and should include all requisite components (i.e., high-quality images, videos, quotes, returnees’ information, etc.). • Support the development of a ‘Stories’ webpage on the ITC/ARRIVES website, in collaboration with the web developer. This includes preparing a draft layout of the webpage, identifying visual assets to be designed, as well as proposing a workflow to streamline story submissions, review, interviews with participants, and drafting processes. 2. Engaging Digital Content: • Develop and publish engaging content for digital platforms, including webpages and social media, as well as coordinate publications on corporate and programmatic channels and press releases. • Create a detailed content plan for social media, including a posting schedule and content themes. • Develop and assist in preparing presentations for the use at multiplier and stakeholder events. • Monitor and analyse communication metrics and provide monthly reports with recommendations for improvements. 3. Evaluation and analysis: • Evaluate the impact of the program and lessons learned by cataloguing the stories of returnees, cooperating with the external evaluation provider. • Develop an ARRIVES Report by compiling the collected material to communicate on common trends and results. All outputs to be delivered on a monthly basis.

Duties and Responsibilities
BACKGROUND: ITC is the joint agency of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations (UN). It is the only multilateral agency fully dedicated to supporting the internationalisation of SMEs. ITC’s mission is to foster inclusive and sustainable growth and development through trade and international business development. ITC Headquarters is located in Geneva, Switzerland. ITC projects and programmes contribute to the global efforts to achieve UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development and the Aid for Trade agenda. Refugees and Trade The Refugee and Trade Team delivers ITC’s trade-related technical assistance for refugees and other people affected by displacement and migration, incl. IDPs and returning migrants. The team is housed in the Women, Youth, and Vulnerable Communities (WYVC) section within the Division of Sustainable and Inclusive Trade (DSIT). In the contexts of displacement and migration, ITC increases business and employment opportunities, creates better access and connection to markets and improved livelihoods and resilience. These objectives are delivered through five areas of work; (1) provide firm-level support, (2) strengthening the ecosystems for inclusive refugee economic participation, (3) policy advocacy, (4) research and knowledge sharing, and (5) strategic partnerships. ARRIVES The consultant will work within the ‘ARRIVES’ (Assisting the Reintegration of Returnees through Integrated Vocational and Entrepreneurship Support in Nigeria) project, which supports voluntarily returning migrants from Germany to Nigeria. Within the consortium, ITC focuses on three areas of intervention: • Designing and implementing an entrepreneurship coaching component; • Enhancing the capacity of institutional support to provide customized support to returnee-led MSMEs better; Improving the knowledge of the needs of returnees and recommendations for economic support activities by providing structured learnings to project partners and returnees. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES The incumbent will work under the overall supervision of the Head, Refugees and Trade, and in close collaboration with the ARRIVES Project Coordinator in Nigeria and will undertake the following duties: Planning and Content Development: • Develop and implement communication plans for the ARRIVES project. • Schedule and coordinate the publication of content on both programmatic and corporate digital platforms. • Capture the individual stories of ARRIVES’ participants across all the phases, including before, during and after their return. • Continuously collect diverse and extensive material in the form of interviews, pictures, and videos. • Evaluate the impact of the program and lessons learned by cataloguing the returnees’ stories. • Capture interactions with partners and multipliers who support the returnees or the ARRIVES project. Writing and Copyediting: • Produce compelling and engaging written content, including articles/press releases, reports, blog posts, interviews, participant stories and website updates. • Revise project reports incl. market studies editorially. External Communication: • Regular updating of the ARRIVES webpages and social media pages with current information, stories, and images in collaborative work with the ARRIVES partnering organizations IRARA and Social Impact. • Manage and grow social media presence across various platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement. • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess effectiveness and make data-driven improvements. Coordination and Reporting: • Coordinate with relevant focal points to identify stories and connect with returnees and ARRIVES project partners to create relevant content. • Coordinate with internal teams across all project partners, and external partners to ensure cohesive and aligned messaging. • Participate in weekly team meetings to ensure smooth coordination with team members and report on key communications achievements. Events: Support with event organization, especially with respect to communications, design, and writing. Copyright The Consultant has to ensure that s/he has obtained the necessary permissions with regard to intellectual property rights required to perform his/her services under this consultancy contract and for the subsequent dissemination by ITC in any form. Documentary proof is to be submitted to ITC. Should any license fee be due for the use of copyrighted materials of third parties, the Consultant shall request the prior written permission from ITC. S/he has further to ensure to obtain accreditation to event(s), if required. Qualifications/special skills
Undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, or a related field. • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in journalism, communications, marketing, social media management, or related fields. • Demonstrated experience in producing and designing written content. • Previous experience in coordinating, preparing and moderating interviews. • Previous experience in analyzing information in depth to develop informative content material. Desired: • Given the nature of the assignment, the incumbent must be physically based in Nigeria and willing to visit returnees’ business premises. • Experience in working in displacement/migration-related issues. Required: • Experience working in journalism, communications, or media. • Experience in producing and designing communication materials. • Ability to engage with participants and their experiences in an empathetic and trustworthy manner. • Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and proficiency in working with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. • Proficiency in taking high-resolution and high-quality pictures and videos. • Ability to work independently and as a team member, take initiative, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility.
Languages
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. • Proficiency in Pidgin-English required. • Knowledge of other local Nigerian dialects is an advantage.
