Result of Service
A. Serve as a focal point of the Global Programme on Cybercrime with SHERLOC and complete the upload of new and pending cases and national legislation into SHERLOC. B. Develop legal research and analysis on cybercrime providing recommendations for action of the Global Programme on Cybercrime; C. Support the logistics and organization of meetings, trainings and webinars of the Global Programme on Cybercrime backstopped at Headquarters;

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Cybercrime Programme Officer, the consultant will perform the following tasks: 1) Carry out database tasks of uploading, downloading, editing and sanitizing documents in the SHERLOC database feeding into the Cybercrime Repository and the case law and legislation databases of SHERLOC; 2) Carry out legal research and analysis with a multi-disciplinary view on cybercrime issues; and 3) Support the implementation of the activities of the Global Programme on Cybercrime backstopped at Headquarters.
Qualifications/special skills
• An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in criminal justice, criminology or law is required. A first-level university degree in the aforementioned fields in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying work experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. • A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the area of legal research or analysis is required; • Work experience with databases, content management or knowledge network development is desirable; • Work experience in relation to criminal phenomena misusing the Internet and Communications Technologies is desirable; • Previous work experience with an international organization is desirable.
Languages
• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required. Fluency in another official United Nations language is an advantage.
