Role PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Snr Program Specialist-HIV Care and Treatment t he incumbent will be responsible for providing strategic advice to the County Health teams for the planning and implementation of the HIV response at the county level. He/She will provide technical assistance in the development quality improvement strategies for retention of PLHIV on treatment, improved viral load testing and suppression ensuring that the HIV related program objectives, indicators, and targets are met, and implementation is aligned with the grant goals and the objectives of the national strategic plan for HIV and TB.

Technical expertise, skills and knowledge

Qualifications and Experience

  • Medical Degree and master’s degree in public health, international health, health sciences, health management.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in HIV prevention, care, treatment, and support services, with experience in at least one of the following areas: community systems strengthening, resilience, sustainability, strategic information, and GEI.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in HIV and TB project/program development and implementation, management, and strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, and management of complex health programs at a senior management level.
