At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter – fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Find out more on http://home.cern

The Neutrino Platform has been set up by CERN in response to the 2013 European Strategy for Particle Physics to foster fundamental research in the field of long baseline accelerator-based Neutrino Physics. We are looking for a physicist with several years of post-doctoral research activities in detector R&D and accelerator-based neutrino experiments to develop detector technologies for the DUNE Vertical Drift detector and lead the construction of the Charge Readout Planes successfully. You will join the CERN EP Department and you are expected also to make a leading contribution to currently running neutrino experiments in which the group is involved, and participate in challenges such as calibration activities and data preparation for analysis. Especially experience analysis of emulsion data will be useful.
