JOB DESCRIPTION

Result of Service
1. Coordinate the activities of the CCAC Clean Air Flagship in support of the CCAC Clean Air Flagship Task Team. 2. Provide strategic advice and inputs to advance/enhance the CCAC Clean Air Flagship, especially by leveraging existing CCAC assets as well as CCAC Partners’ assets. 3. Review and provide advice in support of the CCAC Air Quality Management Exchange Platform (aqmx.org), plus other CCAC related process such as air quality related proposals for CCAC funding, and the activities related to the CCAC sectoral Hubs.

Duties and Responsibilities
The UNEP-convened Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a partnership of governments, intergovernmental organizations, and representatives of the private sector, the environmental community, and other members of civil society. The CCAC is the only international initiative working on integrated climate and clean air solutions to reduce the rate of near-term warming. It focuses on fast action to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) including methane, black carbon, HFCs and tropospheric ozone. More information about the Global Methane Pledge is here: www.globalmethanepledge.org The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) hosts the Secretariat at the Industry & Economy Division in Paris. The CCAC Clean Air Flagship Coordinator will provide support to advance the CCAC Clean Air Flagship, working closely with the CCAC Clean Air Flagship Task Team. Qualifications/special skills
– Advanced university degree related to international relations, economics, public policy, development or a related field, is required. – A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience is required – Experience working with high level government officials is required – Knowledge of air quality and air quality-related development issues is required – Experience in an international environment is required – Experience in working with multi-stakeholder partnerships is desirable
Languages
– Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of an additional UN language is an asset.
