Overall purpose of the role
Under the management of the Head of oPt Operations, the Grants Management Coordinatorin close cooperation with the sectorial Technical Coordinators and the Regional Business Development Coordinator – is responsible for fundraising, grants management, and for relevant aspects of project cycle management for DRC Program in the occupied Palestinian territory (oP.
Duties and Responsibilities
Fundraising:
- Work with the Regional Business Coordinator, the Head of oPt Operations and Technical Coordinators to identify relevant opportunities for resource mobilization;
- Maintain an updated donor engagement mapping (including both institutional donors and private fundraising opportunitie
- Proactively identify fundraising opportunities, coordinate and contribute to the development of highquality products for donor engagement (e.g. case studies, unsolicited concept notes, etc.)
- Lead on the planning and coordinate the development of highquality project proposals, including narratives, budgets, budget narratives, work plans, staffing lists, and other required annexes
- Support in the identification of and preparations for donor engagement opportunities beyond application to open calls for submissions (including development of donor engagement plans, unsolicited concept notes, etc.)
- Prepare necessary documentation, such as reports, presentations and organizational documentation, to share with DRC stakeholders, including briefings for DRC staff and external entities requesting information on DRC’s programmes
- Liaise with relevant government agencies
- Serve as the primary focal point for donors and partners on all grants related issues
Grants Management & reporting:
- Maintain and update DRC’s Grants Management systems (SharePoint and Dynamic.
- Lead on the rollout or strengthening of Grants processes and systems, including SOP and tool development.
- Develop and maintain uptodate and indepth knowledge of donor and government policies and support implementing teams to ensure full compliance
- Monitor compliance and adherence to contractual obligations with donors.
- Draft, review and provide support in the negotiation of project agreements, including subagreements, teaming agreements and memoranda of understanding
- Lead donor reporting processes by coordinating, compiling, editing and providing feedback to ensure the development of highquality narratives and timely submissions, in coordination with the Partnership Coordinator and DRC’s strategic partners
- Coordinate with donors and/or HQ/MERO focal points on any project changes or requests for modification.
- Handle donor communication when they pertain to specific awards – i.e. submission, contract negotiation, implementation followup, etc.
Project cycle management:
- Schedule kickoff and regular followup meetings for new grants and ensure adequate project management tools and processes are in place at the start of new grants.
- In close collaboration with the Partnerships Coordinator, ensure timely collection of updates from strategic partners on the progress against active grants, escalate possible issues, and identify appropriate solutions, when required
Capacity sharing and technical support to strategic partners:
- Support DRC’s strategic partners through capacity sharing on proposal development, reporting, and fundraising
- Identify relevant fundraising opportunities for DRC strategic partners and provide technical support to proposal development to ensure highquality submission
- Any other task agreed upon with the line manager
Experience and technical competencies:
- At least 5 years’ experience in proposal, project, or programme development, reporting, or grants management in an INGO
- Excellent knowledge of donor rules, regulations, and procedures including but not limited to US and European donors, EU funding mechanisms, and UN agencies.
- Proven experience in successfully applying for institutional donor funding and leading on resource mobilization through foundations and global donations
- Previous proven experience in programmes implemented through local partners or in remote management
- Proven experience in capacity building and training of national staff and local partners
- Ability to design, develop and implement processes
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft office
Languages
- Fluency in written and spoken English

Education:
- Degree in relevant subject e.g. Social Sciences, International Development, or equivalent work experience.

Contract length: 6 Months with possibility of extension depending on funding availability
Position Band: This position will be placed at NoNManagement band (G1)
Start date: November 2024
Duty station: Ramallah/Amman
