eLearning Developer (2year temporary contrac

Role

The Capacity Building Unit at the ISO Central Secretariat provides capacity building activities through a fiveyear strategic framework, the ISO Action Plan for developing countries (APD. The expected impact of the Action Plan is to empower developing countries to actively contribute to the ISO system, and to benefit fully from the use of ISO standards addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges. Key responsibilities

• Work with tutors, trainers or development teams to create engaging and interactive online learning materials (such as eLearning courses, microlearning videos …etthat are defined in the annual work plans
• Upload and monitor the use of the online content on the ISO digital learning platform
• Create and maintain online training webpages known as virtual instructorled training sessions (VILTon the ISO digital learning platform
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure content accuracy, functionality, and userfriendliness of all online learning materials on the ISO digital learning platform
• Track and analyze learner performance and feedback to improve future online learning materials
• Offer technical support for users experiencing issues with eLearning content
• Stay updated and monitor emerging technologies, training development trends/standards and make recommendations for adoption

Qualification and Experience

• University degree required, preferably in instructional design, training design and development, education and learning technology, or online curriculum development
• Five years of solid experience in successfully designing and developing online learning materials deployed in a variety of environments
• Solid working knowledge of using various authoring tools (such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Moodlfor use in online and blended learning
• Three years of demonstrated experience in working with Learning Management Systems in particular Moodle
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCA
• Basic knowledge of web technologies, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Proficiency with MS Office tools is required
• Fluent in English (C1 level minimuand working knowledge of French is an advantage

• Strong ability to develop and design engaging and effective learning experience
• Extensive writing communication skills to produce concise interactive and clear content
• Basic proficiency in graphic design and the ability to leverage visual design, audio recording, and video production tools to create appealing and effective multimedia and interactive elements for the eLearning courses
• Ability to effectively manage the work in a fastpaced and collaborative environment, partnering with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and other team members to achieve the overall design vision
• Ability to conduct user testing, gather feedback and build on it to improve the content
• Excellent project management skills, while focusing on results and learners’ needs and expectations
• Creativity and outofthebox thinking to stay current with learning and development industry trends and effective methods for content delivery
• Independent and selfmotivated, with experience working in a multicultural environment
