About this position

The Labor Markets and Social Security Division is looking for a project assistant consultant that will support the Division as a member of project teams along the life cycle of Bank operations, such as loans, technical cooperation’s (T, and knowledge products. In addition, as part of the responsibilities derived from operation’s activities, the contractual will provide logistical and administrative support to guarantee successful missions and operational processes.

What you’ll do

  • Edit, proofread and perform quality control of operational and knowledge documents produced by Division teams.
  • Review operational documentation, to ensure quality of final product and accurate application of relevant guidelines.
  • Preparation, update and follow up of schedules for Loan Projects. Compile all schedules regularly, identify potential delays and communicate accordingly with Project Team Leaders, Division’s Chief and operational team, as needed.
  • In coordination with the operational team support actively in activities and production of documents related to preparation and approval of Loan Proposals and TC, assigned according to the Division’s pipeline every year.
  • Respond to requests and transactions from LMKInvoice’s mailbox.
  • When needed, process contracts and amendments in bank’s systems and ensure the recruitment process follows bank’s guidelines and follow up on their administration.
  • Assist as needed with funds allocations, shopping carts, purchase orders, letter of agreements and invoice payments (including vendor creation and/or vendor updat, using bank’s systems.
  • When needed, request payment of invoices corresponding to services especially those services under BEO contracts financed with TC and Admin funds.
  • When needed support to LMK specialists for the entire BEO process in convergence, as needed.
  • The activities mentioned above form the principle duties of the position; however, this does not preclude additional responsibilities which may become necessary, to be approved by the Operations Sr. Analyst.

What you’ll need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Accounting, or any related field.
  • Experience A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience. Previous work experience and knowledge of the Bank processes and system is preferred.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguesis required.

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48member countries.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spousworking at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

  • Type of contract: International Consultant FullTime.
