CHAI was founded in 2002 in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic with the goal of dramatically reducing the price of lifesaving drugs and increasing access to these medicines in the countries with the highest burden of the disease. Over the following two decades, CHAI has expanded its focus. Today, along with HIV, we work in conjunction with our partners to prevent and treat infectious diseases such as COVID19, malaria, tuberculosis, and hepatitis. Our work has also expanded into cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and other noncommunicable diseases, and we work to accelerate the rollout of lifesaving vaccines, reduce maternal and child mortality, combat chronic malnutrition, and increase access to assistive technology. We are investing in horizontal approaches to strengthen health systems through programs in human resources for health, digital health, and health financing. Project Background:

Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRservices are critical to government of India’s Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCHprogram, which aims to achieve population stabilisation, promote reproductive health, and reduce maternal and child mortality and morbidity. WJCF works closely with the government on policy design, rollout and implementation of SRH services with the aim to support the ambitious goal of universal access to quality and accessible RMNCHA services. For instance, the SRH program at WJCF has provided extensive support to the Madhya Pradesh government in scaling access to Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAservices, driving uptake of modern methods of contraception, addressing supply chain infirmities in family planning commodities, skilling health workers in counselling and service delivery, and identifying new approaches to improve awareness and uptake of family planning services in vulnerable communities across the state.

WJCF is also shaping Family Planning (Fecosystem in India to enable introduction of new contraceptive methods with the aim of increasing contraceptive choices for women. SRH team is driving the market shaping for new methods such as LNG 5 mg as pericoital pill, and LongActing Reversible Contraceptive (LARmethods such as implants and hormonal IUDs.

Additionally, WJCF is enabling introduction of alternative service delivery and demand generation models to increase visibility and uptake of existing FP commodities among specific populations that do not use modern contraceptives due to lack of knowledge or access. Ecommerce delivery of reproductive health products and direct SRH interventions for factory workers in industrial workspaces are two key channels that are planned to be tested as part of this initiative.

Position Overview:

The Analyst/Senior Analyst will play a vital role in designing and implementing programs to boost family planning uptake through innovative service delivery channels across India’s public and private sectors, while also addressing other Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRpriorities including comprehensive abortion care, maternal health, and broader family planning services.

Working closely with the Program Manager, this position involves developing pilot testing and scaleup roadmaps, conducting research, assisting with intervention monitoring and evaluation, generating insights, and coordinating with various stakeholders. The role requires a blend of quantitative analysis, content creation, and support for data analytics and demand generation initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual with excellent problemsolving and communication skills, capable of working independently and demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence. Key personal qualities valued include resourcefulness, humility, responsibility, tenacity, and a strong work ethic. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful health programs and requires occasional travel to implementation sites and stakeholder meetings.

1. Conduct Primary and Secondary Research:

• Conduct indepth desk research to gather comprehensive evidence and identify gaps and discrepancies concerning regulations and legal frameworks related to SRH or family planning guidelines in India.
• Analyze and synthesize data from various sources, including published studies, government reports, and policy documents.
• Conduct targeted interviews with key stakeholders, including medical providers, pharmacists, and regulators to assess awareness levels, perceptions, and attitudes of stakeholders regarding SRH or family planning services and recent legal and guidelinebased amendments.

2. Project Management and Stakeholder Management:

• Support the team in drafting implementation plans and provide support related to costing strategic plans, assisting with surveys, etc.
• Support data analytics workstreams, including the development of dashboards, project tracking tools, etc.
• Liaise with CHAI’s global teams regarding developments in SRH or family planning in other LMICs.
• Support the SRH team in testing service delivery models to improve uptake of SRH services, modern methods of family planning, and safe abortion services (if relevan.
• Coordinate projectwide outputs related to execution, implementation, reporting, compliance, and updates.
• Prepare documentation and reports for dissemination of information among partners, donors, and stakeholders.

3. Design and conduct intervention impact assessments:

• Identify relevant monitoring and evaluation frameworks to help assess impact created through pilot interventions
• Design usercentric surveys to capture feedback on key outcome metrics like awareness, beliefs, and access pathways related to SRH or family planning services among different user demographics.
• Analyse data to identify opportunities for improving awareness and knowledge of SRH or family planning methods among endusers.

Supplier and Retail Landscape Assessment:

• Assess the landscape of suppliers and retailers involved in the distribution of SRH or family planning products.
• Investigate supply chain dynamics, procurement policies, and distribution channels for SRH or family planning products in both the private and public sectors and support the development of strategies to bridge gaps.

5. Additional Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with key stakeholders in the SRH ecosystem, including donors, partners, relevant government departments and officials.
• Support scoping for new opportunities/creating pitch documents for new grants/donors in the SRH and allied spaces including but not limited to maternal and child health, genderbased issues and identify white space opportunity areas for WJCF.
• Provide operational support to the Manager to develop, plan, and implement multiple activities simultaneously.

• Bachelor’s Degree with a 3+ years of relevant work experience or postgraduate in a relevant field (public health/administration, economics, social work, sociology, management, population studies, etc.) with a minimum of 1 year experience.
• High level of technical proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word. Experience of using advanced analytical tools will be a plus.
• Ability to absorb and synthesize a broad range of information, including technical information, and prepare compelling presentations and reports.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience of working with government stakeholders and familiarity with the Indian public health system will be a plus.

Additional Preference:

• Willingness to travel extensively within and outside the program geography in India.
• Understanding of India’s healthcare landscape, with a particular focus on sexual and reproductive health (SRand abortion services.
• Experience in management consulting, pharmaceutical industry or other relevant private or publicsector domains.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: demonstrated ability to work independently on complex projects and solve challenging problems, in a highpressure, fastpaced environment with limited oversight.
