JOB DETAIL

GGSIM WATER AND WASTE CIRCULARITY CONSULTANCY

INTRODUCTION TO GGGI

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. To learn more please visit about GGGI web page.

One of CAID’s projects that aims to support knowledge sharing is the Green Growth Performance Measurement (GGPM) Project. The GGPM has two interlinked components – the Green Growth Index and the Simulation Tool. This consultancy is related to both Index and Tool. The Simulation Tool is designed to allow users to enhance their knowledge of how countries’ green growth performance can be influenced by different policy options within these dimensions. The Green Growth Index and Simulation Tool are integrated approaches, so the validity of the underlying models and assumptions of the latter depends on the policy relevance of indicators that frame the former. The Index serves to benchmark countries’ green growth performance through a common set of variables based on publicly available and credible data. Because the Index is based on a robust sustainability framework, it can highlight achievements of many relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are linked to green growth. For more information on the Green Growth Index, visit http://greengrowthindex.gggi.org/.

This consultancy will support various deliverables in the GGPM in 2024, including support for the preparation of technical reports and peer-reviewed articles on the Index and Tool and a review of literature on methods to link the Index to the Simulation Tool.

The consultant for this assignment will contribute to the preparation of technical reports and articles on the application of the Simulation Tool in case study countries. He/She will be hired by GGGI and report to the GGPM project manager.
