Position: MEL Officer (Information Management)
Reports to: MEL and Information Management Coordinator
Supervision of: N/A
Category and Level: Grade 5, Step 1 (according to the NRC salary scale)
Duty station: Yangon, Myanmar
Travel: up to 30%
Duration and type of contract: until 31 May 2025 (renewable based on performance and availability of funding)
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
- Implement delegated tasks according to plan of action
- Ensure that information management and reporting processes are accurate and conducted in a timely manner.
- Ensure that data quality monitoring of activities is conducted, and key findings are shared within the team for further improvement.
- Provide specific technical support and capacity building towards partners, under the supervision of the Information Management Coordinator.
- Assess, promote, and document ideas for technical improvement and options for further program development to support the Information Management Coordinator.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filing of documents

- Experience working in Information Management within a humanitarian or recovery context.
- Previous experience in complex and volatile environments.
- Documented results related to the responsibilities of the position.
- University degree in Information Technology, Social Science, or a related field.
- Experience with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is preferred.
- Good level of English, both written and verbal
- Experience with database management, ODK and/or with humanitarian information management.
- Good knowledge in the management and coordination of information flows, data management including collection, storing, processing and analysing data to generate information products.
- Good knowledge of data visualization tools – Power BI is an asset.
- Experience in utilizing QGIS.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential data with the clear understanding of data protection principle.
- Demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies.
- Experience in conducting, organising and managing assessments, surveys, and similar.
- Advanced computer skills.
