Your responsibilities
The Electrical Engineering Group (ENEL) at CERN is responsible for the electrical powerdistribution network (from 400 kV to 400/230, for the fibreoptics infrastructure, and for signal and DCpower cabling for the accelerator complex.
You will join the electrical Design and Documentation Office (ENELDD. You will take on a support electrical designer role. This will include the creation and modification of electrical drawings, design of low voltage distribution networks, cable sizing, equipment sizing, LV protection studies and the general support to senior electrical designers. With time you will be required to take on design tasks of increasing complexity.
This is the perfect opportunity for a junior technician to further establish their existing knowledge of low voltage distribution circuits by putting it into practice.
It is expected that you have the foundation and theoretical background of the following tasks:

What we offer
About us
At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matterfundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Find out more on http://home.cern.
Diversity has been an integral part of CERN’s mission since its foundation and is an established value of the Organization. Employing a diverse workforce is central to our success.
