Duties and Responsibilities
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODproject entitled “Quality assurance: enabling drug dependence treatment in line with the International Standards for the Treatment of Drug Use Disorders in Indonesia”, was aimed at securing the political support required to generate significant momentum for the process of establishing a quality assurance framework for the treatment of drug use disorders in each participating country. As part of the necessary steps under the project of “Quality assurance: enabling drug dependence treatment in line with the International Standards for the Treatment of Drug Use Disorders in Indonesia”, the survey needs to be conducted to see the services availability and quality. The survey was conducted randomly in seven provinces in Indonesia, in North Sumatera, South Sumatera, Riau Islands, West Java, Special Region of Yogyakarta, East Java and East Borneo. Under the direct supervision of the Programme Officer of DDR programme, the Intern provides ensuring high quality, accuracy and consistency of work. The intern will be providing support in data input onto the drug monitoring platform. The internship is UNPAID and interns work five days per week (full time40 hour. Under the overall supervision of the DDR Programme Officer, the intern will provide support for data input. Duties will include but not be limited to: • Verify the correctness and accuracy of data received • Coordinate with programme/consultant regarding data of drug treatment facilities • Input all data onto the drug monitoring platform
Qualifications/special skills
• Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or highe; (be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalen. • Be computer literate in standard software applications; • Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; and • Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views. • Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. • Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalen, Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat
