The Opportunity

The Grants Manager will be a key member of the project team responsible for ensuring successful grants implementation, monitoring and reporting in alignment with Plan International and donor policies. Grant recipients include Individual Enterprises, Livelihood Groups, Village Savings & Loans Associations (VSL, and Farmer Based Organisations (FB. The Grant Manager will assess to determine their eligibility, maturity level and interest level utilizing the different community organization performance assessment tools outlined in the Economic Livelihood Grand Manual (ELG. The jobholder will manage a portfolio of $18 million in small grants and support the monitoring of compliance requirements for the contract. The position holder will coordinate with the Lead Service Provider (LSManager and other key specialists across the project, particularly the Lead Financial Management, Gender and Livelihoods Specialists, along with the Plan International Liberia core team as well as the relevant support teams from Plan Global, Regional and National Offices. The Grants Manager will also supervise the projects Grants Officers.

About You

You are an experienced professional with postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience and over 5 years in grant management, overseeing more than $18 million in donorfunded projects. Skilled in using grant management systems, MS Office, and financial tools, you have strong management experience, leading teams and handling financial reporting and compliance, particularly with World Bank and Government of Liberia standards. You have worked in consortia with diverse partners, including government bodies and rural women’s organizations, focusing on value chain development and womenled enterprises. Your strengths include negotiation, communication, attention to detail, and managing complex donorfunded programs.
