Background:
NRC has been active in Somalia since 2004 with four area offices in Kismayu, Mogadishu, Garowe and Hargeisa, providing protection and humanitarian assistance to refugees, internally displaced persons and returnees in Somaliland, Puntland, South Central and Jubaland regions. NRC offers a comprehensive response for returnees and IDPs of high need, addressing their food security, livelihood, shelter, education, ICLA, and water, hygiene and sanitation needs and also responding to emergencies through NRC’s five core competences: Shelter, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH and Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICL.
Responsibilities:
The Scope Registrar will be responsible for conducting Boimetric Beneficiaries Registrations, Baseline , PDM, and and end line surveys as well as data cleaning , verifications in the assigned target locations in Galmudug.
- Conduct beneficiary mobilization in all target villages.
- Assist in the management and maintenance of Scope registration equipment including cards, computers, phones, and MPOS.
- Conduct manual registration of the beneficiaries and ensure complete information is captured.
- Undertake full family member registration of all beneficiaries in Scope using a biometric registration system.
- Validate beneficiary data in SCOPE, ensuring household information is up to date.
- Sensitize beneficiaries on the cash value entitlement to be received monthly, the duration, and how/where the cash assistance will be received/redeemed.
- Provide reports and feedback on beneficiary management, including identified gaps and challenges during beneficiary registration.
- Collect data, contribute to report preparation on Scoperelated issues, and provide information for better decisionmaking by stakeholders.
- Assist protection risk survivors and advise via existing referral pathways.
- Disseminate project visibilities, establish accessible Complaint & Responses Mechanisms in the target sites, and introduce beneficiaries to address their concerns to the available CRMs.
- Perform other functions as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Context/specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Diploma/University Degree is required or high school graduate with experience in humanitarian.
- Previous work experience in biometric scope registrations and ability to handle basic maintenancerelated issues.
- Proficiency in computer software like Word, Excel, and WFP scope database.
- Knowledge in ICT or M&E is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to exhibit an exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in the specific local cultural context.
- Fluency in communication in the Somali language.
