Job Description

The incumbent of this position is responsible for developing and organizing training material, supporting training and evaluation activities as a part of training program in IVI including Global Training Hub for Biomanufacturing (GTHprogram. This position would also help improve the conduct of training of VPD and other Science Dept. staff on GMP and quality aspects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, review and organize training material in IVI’s databases, support the conduct of training in the areas of GMP manufacturing and Quality and assist in evaluation of the trainees for the expertise area of IVI training program including GTHB.
  • Assist development of curriculum and material based on standard pedagogic methodology confirmed within IVI in coordination with other relevant stakeholders.
  • Interact with GTHB Training Program trainees and help trainees reach the targeted goals.
  • Participate in whole training program and support roadmap development for biomanufacturing industry workers in Lowand Middle Income Countries so that IVI training programs can support and accelerate vaccine selfsufficiency.
  • Support and Motivate trainees to actively participate in all aspects of the training process.
  • Report and maintain required communications with the funder with support of training team
  • Interact with internal and external trainers to understand and comply to IVI training methodology by supporting main Research Scientist in VPD.
  • Manage the training material subject wise in IVI database for easy identification and retrieval.
Support consultation and advise to potential industry partners
  • Participate in report compilation of consultation activities for the selected industry partners through the GTHB Program, by providing collating the expertise knowledge, experience, and advice of the involved experts.
  • Seek proactively opportunities to support industry partners which need expert advice and contribute to the global health.

  • Provide support to unit (or departmen. Assist the DDG of Science to:
    1. Review new requests and assess their interest for IVI and potential impact for global health in particular in lowand middleincome countries, national and international collaboration strategies, design concept notes, and create analysis tools of new requests.
    2. Provide support as a technical person in manufacturing to other functions when need is identified.
    3. Gather all information in the field including published or unpublished data for the analysis of and for the response to the requests and their development.
    4. Support writing reports, grant proposals, and manuscripts and develop presentations as necessary.
  • Provide support to GTHB Team Lead and Business Development director as required and requested.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in biology or biology related
Related Field Work Experience
  • 3+ years in manufacturing / quality function role or training role in medium or big biotechnology companies, R&D institutions or biotechnology consulting companies.
Technical and Professional Skills / Knowledge
  • Well versed with the overall operations in biopharma manufacturing plant or process development activities in the R&D / PDL lab
  • Strong handson work experience in manufacturing, quality control or quality assurance activities
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and Hancom Office
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; professional presence.
Language Proficiency
  • Fluency in English (spoken and writte; Korean as an asset given the growing interactions with Korean partners
