The unit also plays a vital role in maintaining regular communication with partners, providing them with updates and reports on project developments to ensures transparency throughout the process. By leveraging external resources, expertise, and networks through strategic collaborations and communications, the unit plays a pivotal role in maximizing the impact of the WFPs efforts in Pakistan and globally.

JOB PURPOSE
WFP is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of a Partnerships Officer to support the PCR unit. While managing the daytoday partnerships at the country office, the Partnerships Officer will need to drive WFP’s effective positioning with public, private and external partners to attract policy support, resources, technical assistance and innovative solutions to advance the work of WFP in Pakistan while supporting Pakistan’s drive to achieve zero hunger, and emphasizing WFP’s contributions in this regard.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not allinclusive, within delegated authorit:
The partnerships officer will be under the direct supervision of the Head of Partnerships and receive overall guidance from the Country Director and Deputy Country Director. The officer will be responsible for the following duties:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
Advanced University degree in political science, international development, development economics, international relations, law, marketing, communications, social sciences or other relevant field; or a first university degree with additional years of related work experience.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant postgraduate professional experience in designing & developing long term partner relationships and expanded engagements across different sectors and geographies.
Knowledge & Skills:
knowledge management, leadership, communication, time management.
Language: English
