JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:                                           Sub national Shelter, NFI and CCCM Cluster Co-coordinator

Reports to:                                       Shelter Project Manager

Supervision of:                                 none

Duty station:                                    Taunggyi

Travel %                                           up to 20%

Duration and type of contract:         12  months

  1. Contribute to an effective coordination of the shelter response in Southeast Myanmar
  2. Contribute to technical information exchange between SNFI Cluster partners and other relevant stakeholders related to shelter issues,
  3. Provide practical support and guidance to SNFI Cluster partners on needs assessments, coordination, project development and implementation and revision of proposals under MHF.
  4. Provide practical support and guidance to SNFI Cluster partners on technical shelter solutions, supporting innovative and creative responses.
  5. Provide capacity-building to SNFI cluster partners and relevant counterparts such as other cluster partners, UN agencies, or authorities representatives.
  6. Build the capacity of partners, design technical tools, guidance and facilitate trainings and workshops.
  7. Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.

  • Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Sound understanding of humanitarian principles, SPHERE standards
  • Excellent advocacy and representation skills including the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships to facilitate communication within the cluster.
  • Able to work under extreme pressure and good at timely decision making.
