UNICEF in the State of Palestine (SoP) works to uphold the rights of children to access services and protection, from early childhood through to adolescence. Our objective is to ensure that every child in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, irrespective of background or circumstance, has an equal chance to fulfil their potential.

How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision of the Partnerships Manager and day to day guidance of the Partnerships Specialist, the Partnerships Officer will be responsible for knowledge management augmentation to leverage and mobilize resources for the humanitarian response and country programme.
Major tasks to be accomplished:
– Strengthen internal capacities to develop a proactive approach to fundraising engagement with key partners, contributing to the analyses of resource mobilization and partnerships trends.
– Conduct a dynamic mapping exercise of potential donors and partners for the Palestine Country Office, including use of online platforms and ERP systems.
– Deliver a portfolio of donor proposals aligned with the programme funding requirements.
– Develop and maintain a fundraising knowledge and monitoring management tool.
– Ensures key updates to annual country office programme performance management and reporting.
Your key functions/accountabilities
– Provide analysis and inputs to planning and implementation of the resource mobilization efforts.
– Collect and provide information about emerging trends, funding sources and potential opportunities for partnerships and resource mobilizations efforts.
– Conduct research on prospective new partners for UNICEF and provide analysis of the areas of work, outreach, financial based and reputation of potential partners.
– Analyse development assistance policies and develop/maintain resource partner profiles.
– Review, prepare key partnerships data for donor proposals.
– Support to the development of partnership frameworks and review partner agreements.
– Collect strategic information to engage with potential donors, review update a database.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Education:
– University degree in humanities, business administration, public relations, strategic management, social science or any other relevant field.
Experience:
– A minimum of one year of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: public partnership development and management, resource mobilization, public affairs, programme management, external relations, and other relevant area. Experience in building relations with donors and in the humanitarian field is an asset.
– Given the immediate need of the office, candidates who perform a similar role or have proven experience in the above-mentioned tasks will be highly valued. Active previous involvement in a humanitarian crisis response programme preferred.
Language Requirement:
– Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
