JOB DESCRIPTION

Result of Service
• The consultant will work within UNRWA’s Protection Division and report to the Head, Gender Section while maintaining close relationships and collaboration with Gender Section and Protection Division colleagues.
Work Location
HQA- Remotely.
Expected duration
• The duration of the consultancy is from (01 Nov 2024 to 31 December 2024).
Duties and Responsibilities
Activity & Deliverable from 01 Nov 2024- 30 Nov 2024: • Collect data for and revise PRM GBV report • Develop workplan and workflow documents and templates for HIP GBV project • Support the development of GBV project documents • Establish the intersection knowledge management hub Activity & Deliverable from 01 Dec 2024- 31 Dec 2024: • Develop team documents to support the launch of the HIP project • Develop TORs and other documents related to establishing the HIP project team • Prepare final PRM GBV donor report • Support UNRWA Gender Action Plan MEL document creation
Qualifications/special skills
• Advanced university degree (master’s or higher) from an accredited educational institution in social sciences, political affairs, international relations, international law, human rights, or a related field. • At least two years of responsible and relevant experience in programme/project planning, monitoring, evaluation, and results reporting. Unless already serving as an international staff member in the UN Common System, at least two continuous years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA, and outside the country(s) of citizenship, is required. • Demonstrated project planning, monitoring and evaluation experience. • Demonstrated donor report drafting skills. • Demonstrated familiarity with key concepts related to gender and GBV
Languages
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Additional Information
• The consultant will be remunerated based on the satisfactory deliverables of the agreed activities. • The consultant will be paid the lump sum of $10,000, split into two instalments as described above upon satisfactory submission of the deliverables.
