The Entertainment Relations Specialist is responsible for supporting the growth and development of CARE’s celebrity and influencer partners across film, sports, food, music and social media. The goal of this area of marketing is to build a diverse, like-minded group of talent that will help raise the awareness of the organization’s mission, advocate for women & girls, and fundraise for this vital work. The Entertainment Relations Specialist will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the celebrity Global Advisory Council program including maintaining relationships, tracking successes, reporting outcomes, and coordinating talent logistics events (online and in-person). This position needs a highly motivated organized individual with experience in entertainment or talent agencies who is both a self-starter, and team player with some public relations savvy. In collaboration with the Director, they will support weekly meeting and ideation sessions with agency partner and work across departments requesting celebrity/influencer support. This role is an integral part to growing CARE’s brand and ensuring all of our celebrity partnerships are A+ experiences for talent. The Entertainment Relations Specialist is a remote position working from the United States. (Candidates working from California or New York are preferable but not a requirement) RESPONSIBILITIES: Celebrity & Global Advisory Council Relations Serve as logistics and communications coordinator to Global Advisory Council (GAC) and other talent, and bring new thinking and support to develop the GAC members to increase visibility and exposure for the CARE brand. Coordinate and manage regular communications and weekly check-in with PR agency partner Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis. Conduct research and help identify new potential global celebrity ambassadors that represent or are from the countries CARE services. Provide input and ideas on short and long-term engagement plans for GACs and other celebrities. Coordination and development of quarterly Global Advocacy Council newsletter to be distributed to celebrity ambassadors providing updates on CARE’s work, programs and inform GACs what their counterparts are doing to advance CARE’s mission. Work closely with Director to plan and execute CARE Learning Tours for celebrities and VIPs in developing countries where CARE programming is present. Draft talking points, social media copy and other materials for celebrities and VIPs. Monitor and track social media engagement of CARE Global Advisory Council Members, and other targets that are of interest to CARE, including entertainment news and trends. Education Support of Celebrities and GACs Coordinate and execute CARE Educational Briefings via zoom and virtual CARE Learning Tours (as needed) Support development of comprehensive materials, and one sheets to better educate celebrity ambassadors and VIPs about CARE and its mission. Provide support and input on briefing documents to prepare celebrity ambassadors to participate in campaigns, events, fundraising initiatives and trips with CARE to the field. Work closely with Director to support Advocacy and Resource Mobilization Department activations by providing materials, and logistical support for CARE on Capitol Hill activities and Fundraising / Giving Tuesday projects involving talent. In partnership with Director, provide coordination and organization support of CARE Alerts and crisis response materials to activate GACs, celebrities and talent agencies to support crisis fundraising appeals and social media posts. Cross Functional Project Coordination and Administration Build effective project coordination, administration and communications infrastructure to better organize workload and ongoing projects for Entertainment for Impact. Work closely with Social Media team to create ready-made and and comprehensive social media content (toolkits) for celebrity (tweets, social media posts, etc.) as various needs arise for campaigns, advocacy, and fundraising initatives etc. Monitor and update celebrity and entertainment media engagement metrics to produce quaterly & yearly dashbords to track growth and success. Track cross-departmental requests for celebrity / talent; and build an infrastructure for an organization wide in-take request form for celebrity and GAC participation in social media, campaigns, fundraising and events. Coordinate creation of decks and presentations for internal /external audiences about Entertainment for Impact’s strategic plans, successes and big ideas. Work closely with Brand Support team to submit content, creative and design needs that support ongoing work and provide coordination support for procurement needs, contracts, agreements and more QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in related fields; Communications / Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 3-5 years experience in entertainment industry and working with celebrities and or social impact Excellent written and oral communications skills Skilled in Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and Google Docs Strong interpersonal skills Excellent relationship management skills (with talent, agencies, and vendors) Very organized, dynamic, motivated and enjoys tracking information on spreadsheets An understanding of cultural & entertainment news trends Ability to travel domestically
