Role Purpose

Creates and manages content across multiple digital platforms, all in service of advancing Open Society brand, advocacy, and issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates and manages content for digital platforms, working across Communications to shape stories and messaging into content optimized for engagement across web, social, and email

  • Works closely with project team leads to define and execute content strategy aligned with project objectives and target audiences

  • Collaborates with geographically dispersed teams of copywriters and creatives on content development

  • Manages and serves as lead writer for multiple digital platforms, including websites and email

  • Maintains editorial voice and establishes best practices across digital properties

  • Manages digital projects and initiatives as needed in coordination with other teams and outside vendors/agencies/partners

  • Implement best practices for content quality and performance optimization.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • University degree or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential:

  • Substantial experience working in digital communications with a proven track record in project management across multiple projects

  • Broad experience working with contact and content management systems and social media publishing platforms

  • Experience writing and managing content for large, global properties and accounts

  • Superior writing and editing skills (in English) and experience producing and managing digital content, including messaging and short form social media content

  • Expertise in building and managing a social platform strategy, content calendaring, and audience engagement

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data from various sources, such as web analytics, social media platforms, email campaigns, and paid media

Desirable:

  • Experience managing an email or newsletter program

  • Experience with HTML and CSS
