Under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Project Manager, the Junior Project Officer will contribute to the implementation of activities throughout the lifecycle of the Support to Free Movement of Persons and Migration in West Africa project (FMM II). S/he will provide administrative and logistical support to the work of the Senior Project Manager and Project Officers, and ensure alignment with regulatory framework, standard administrative practices and operating procedures of ICMPD.

Position-Specific Expertise:

• Strong knowledge and understanding of migration and/or migration-related topics in the region is desirable.
• Experience in multi-thematic areas of migration (i.e. border management, trafficking in persons, labour management etc.) will be considered a distinct asset.

Position- Specific Qualifications and Language Skills:

• Masters degree in Political Science, Migration Studies and/or other related field.
• In addition to the languages listed in the job profile (i.e. fluent English), fluent French is an asset.
