JOB DESCRIPTION

Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Project Analyst is assigned to the Portfolio Management Division (PSPM) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to PSPM International Staff and senior National Staff.

Your Role

As a Project Analyst, you will be responsible for credit administration processes and client services including onboarding, disbursements, covenant monitoring, and billing. You will work with borrowers, multiple PSOD staff, and internal and external stakeholders.

You will:

a. Onboarding and Closing

  • Ensure accurate system entries to reflect transaction approvals, signings, terminations and cancellations; and
  • Coordinate with other ADB units on the timely recording of the transactions.

b. Project Monitoring

  • Ensure clients submit periodic reports on time, and follow up as needed;
  • Coordinate with Deal Teams on covenant breaches or transaction issues; and
  • Coordinate with other ADB units on further review and action on relevant reports received.

c. Disbursements

  • Process disbursement requests and verify satisfaction of all conditions precedent.

d. Database Maintenance

  • Ensure all relevant agreements and project documents concerning the transaction are available in the database for ease of access; and
  • Help create and maintain project-related databases and trackers for management information.

e. Administrative and Planning Support

  • Participate in initiatives to facilitate PSPM’s interaction with other ADB units and streamline systems and procedures for efficient credit administration processes.
  • Provide inputs for the annual work program and budget; finalize PSPM’s submissions for ADB’s annual planning, budget exercise and mid-year review of annual budgets.
  • Support programs at HQ, including participation in cross-functional meetings, knowledge sharing, and strategy related.

Qualifications

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business (or related fields)
  • At least 5 years experience in lending and equity investments in corporate finance, project finance, infrastructure finance, or financial institutions, ideally with a top international financial institution, investment bank, infrastructure fund, or consultancy firm
  • Excellent understanding of finance & business principles, and strong skills in client management.
  • Good negotiations skills
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, formulate, execute and complete tasks independently.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural setting and demonstrate being a team player
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English (including effective report writing)
