We are seeking an Associate Engineer – Security, Information & Communication Facilities for a regular position to work within the Building & Facilities Department at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, Korea. (Duty station: Seoul, Korea)
Job Description

The incumbent of this position is responsible for managing security and maintaining the operation of information and communication facilities within the IVI building. It also ensures compliance with relevant laws and facilitates smooth operations for the safe maintenance of all facilities, thereby enhancing equipment stability and increasing efficiency.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Support to ensure compliance to security management regulations
  • Proactively seek to prevent risks such as fire, theft, damage, and other threats to the research facility, ensuring the safety of personnel and property.
  • Take immediate action to minimize impact and maintain order by assisting external visitors.
  • Assist in developing and implementing operational plans and budgets for security equipment and facilities in accordance with established regulations, ensuring effective maintenance and management.
  • Manage vendors including contract administration and day-to-day operations.Proactively seek to prevent risks such as fire, theft, damage, and other threats to the research facility, ensuring the safety of personnel and property.
2. Support to ensure compliance to information and communication facilities maintenance regulations
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans for information and communication facilities in accordance with regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing operational plans and budgets for information and communication facilities.
  • Perform routine inspections and performance evaluations of information and communication facilities, managing all maintenance activities.
3. Support for the Building & Facility Team and other departments related to security and information & communication facilities
  • Provide support for building maintenance operations.
  • Assist other departments with security and information & communication facilities related tasks.
  • Support with emergency evacuation drills and IVI events.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
1. Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
2. Related Field Work Experience
  • 2+ years
3. Technical and Professional Skills / Knowledge
  • Information and Communication Facilities License
4. Language Proficiency
  • Basic in English
