Context
In this role, selected Online Volunteers will assist the Communications Specialist by conducting thorough media monitoring across Kazakhstani and international outlets. They will compile, translate (where needed), and organize media materials into a structured English-language report template. This contribution will support the annual reporting process and enhance UNDP Kazakhstan’s evaluation of media presence and performance for 2024.
Task Description
Under the guidance of a Communications Specialist at the UNDP Kazakhstan Country Office, the Online Volunteers will: – Conduct comprehensive media monitoring for UNDP Kazakhstan’s activities and related topics, with a focus on news, press releases, and other relevant publications across Kazakh, Russian, and English sources. – Use specific keywords provided (such as “UNDP Kazakhstan” and the names of the UNDP Resident and Deputy Resident Representatives) to identify relevant media content. – Each volunteer will cover a six-month period review of 2024, enabling focused and manageable work periods for both individuals. – Record each media instance in a structured template provided by the Communications Specialist. This template will capture essential details, including: o Publication Number: Unique identifier for each entry o Date of Publication o Title: Original title of the article, translated into English if initially in Russian or Kazakh o Original Language o Link: Direct link to the article – Ensure entries are recorded chronologically to facilitate organized reporting. Note: This assignment has a strict two-week deadline. Candidates should be prepared to dedicate 15-20 hours per week and meet the November 20 deadline.
