Job Overview:

The Senior Director, P&C Shared Solutions and Technology is a member of Senior Leadership Teams in both People and Culture (P&C) and IT departments with a critical role in combining Technology, global P&C operations and Shared solutions delivery through cutting-edge systems in line with IRC data-driven, employee-centric strategic ambitions. This position collaborates with other IT and P&C leaders and teams at global, regional, and country levels to ensure that our People agenda across all of IRC’s global units is coordinated, cohesive, synchronized, and implemented to achieve the desired impact in shaping the IRC employee experience.

Major Responsibilities:

• Align IRC’s Strategy 100 priorities with current P&C systems to create a multi-facet global workforce and IT strategy that enhances process efficiency, ensures data security, and positions the organization for future trends, including global HRIS implementation and long-term solutions.

• Lead the strategic planning, deployment, and optimization of Workday across global offices, ensuring seamless integration to support P&C operations and strategic goals.

• Accelerate the transition to a scalable P&C Shared Solutions model, designing and deploying a multi-functional approach that provides operational and system support throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring effective change management and sustained adoption at global and regional levels.

• Oversee the development and maintenance of an internal P&C resource repository, ensuring Shared Solutions teams have access to standardized FAQs, SOPs, workflows, process maps, and toolkits for consistency and effective service delivery.

• Ensure exceptional client service and resolution of P&C inquiries and issues, implementing strategies to enhance service quality, reduce response times, and deliver a positive employee experience through efficient service and solution management.

• Work closely with P&C COEs and Partners to identify potential scope of services or processes for future transition to Shared Solutions

• Support the execution of a people analytics strategy aligned with IRCs overall data strategy in a manner that provides actionable insights and supports date-driven decisions.

• Lead, empower and mentor a highly diverse team of direct reports, including communicating clear expectations, co-creating performance objectives, providing regular and timely constructive performance feedback, and supporting their overall well-being and professional aspirations.

• Partner with IT to ensure confidentiality, security, and compliance of sensitive workforce data, adhering to IRC system, data and security architecture and standards.

• Lead the identification, selection, and management of P&C vendor services and solutions ensuring selected vendor deliver to their commitments.

Key Working Relationships:

• Position Reports to: Sr. Director of Enterprise Applications and SVP People and Culture under Management in Partnership

• Direct Reports: P&C Operations, Systems and Shared Solutions Teams

• Position works in collaboration with: Global HQ P&C and IT department/Functional leads, Regional P&C Directors, HR Technology solution providers.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in HR operations and technology services across key functions such as compensation, benefits, and payroll, combined with demonstrated expertise in business systems operations, process optimization, data management, project leadership, and strategic communication.

• At least 10 years of leadership experience managing large, cross-functional teams within global, complex environments.

• Experience leading successful global deployment and integration of Workday in a 1000+ user environment, optimizing HR operations and aligning with strategic goals across international offices.

• Substantial experience in Shared Services, including the development and implementation of a Shared Services business case.

• Proven experience with Agile methodologies, Design Thinking, Lean Six Sigma, or similar frameworks is preferred.

• Excellent management and leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

• High degree of comfort and successful track record supervising in matrixed environments.

• Ability to work, manage, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills needed.

• Superb inter-personal, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across countries, cultures, and departments required.

• Must possess a highly collaborative, inclusive, consultative, and resourceful workstyle that balances required compliance/policy enforcement with a steadfast commitment to client service and support.

• The ability to communicate at all levels of an organization in relevant, non-technical language.

• Sensitive to and have a solid understanding of GDEI concepts and their impact on organizations.

• High proficiency with MS Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

Working Environment:

Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits. All US employees are eligible for sick time, a 403b retirement savings plans: up to 4.5% immediately vested matching contribution, plus an 3-7% additional IRC contribution, and an Employee Assistance Program which is available to our staff and their families to support in times of crisis and mental health struggles.

In addition, full-time employees are eligible for 10 US paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability & life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively) and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter costs. Part-time employees are eligible for a proportionate amount of paid time off. These additional benefits apply to employees who work at least 6 months within a 12 month time period.
