About the job

Main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Initiate, plan, and coordinate EORE-NTS in targeted communities as identified by the EORE-NTS PM/TFM/OM
  • Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly work plans.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reports
  • Provide assistance to EORE-NTS PM/TFM/OM in producing concept notes and proposals
  • Ensure timely reporting to the EORE-NTS PM/TFM/OM, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Carry out needs’ assessment, baseline surveys and data collection in the field
  • Liaise with local authorities, community leaders, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the EORE-NTS activities.
  • Supervise the teams and ensure that the tasked EORE-NTS activities are carried out in the field according with the SOP.
  • Conduct regular Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Keep monthly records of EORE-NTS teams’ progress and activities
  • Ensure that the team has the necessary materials and other equipment to carry out the designated activities.
  • Conduct training for EORE-NTS Surveyors/facilitators, central people in the communities
  • Maintain good communication with other Mine Action Actors.
  • Maintain good communication with partner organizations.
  • Maintain good relationships with other mine action interventions in the area including those involved in survey, marking and clearance to ensure good coordination and shared knowledge.
  • Oversee procurement planning and the design and printing of IEC materials in coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in preparing budget and funds when required.

Coordination Activities

  • Coordinate EORE-NTS activities with National Authorities and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, partners, and volunteers to conduct ToT’s as per request.
  • Be the bridge between EORE-NTS teams and other DRC departments.
  • Have the capability to coordinate movements and personnel.
  • Liaise with local authorities and representatives.
  • Conduct community liaison with schools, communities, and other organizations.
  • Coordinate the procurement needs according to the plan.
  • Act as deputy project manager when required
  • Drive DRC cars when required.
  • Assist any other HMA activity as requested by the line manager
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by their Line Manager.

About you

Required

  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in the field of Humanitarian Mine Action field working with non-governmental organizations.
  • Vocational school. Higher education
  • Good knowledge of the English language is required.
  • Experience in data collection
  • Computer literate, MS Office, and Base Camp Garmin
  • Driving license
  • Ability to work away from home on occasion
  • Must be able to write reports
  • Knowledge of International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) is an asset
  • Great attention to detail

We offer

  • Contract length: 3 months.
  • Band: G-Non MGMT.
  • Designation of Duty Station: Tripoli, Libya.
  • Start date: As soon as possible.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of national Employment.
