Job description

To accelerate progress toward the SDGs and the Paris Agreement, there is an urgent need for faster, larger investments in clean energy. This is where GET.invest makes a difference. As a European multi-donor programme, we empower clean energy projects and companies across sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific to become investment-ready and secure the funding they need. With eight years of experience and over 500 clients advised, GET.invest offers unique insights into clean energy market developments and benefits from a strong network linking markets and political stakeholders. As an intern, you will support both our communications and programme steering, gaining valuable experience and honing your skills alongside a dynamic, international team of over 15 nationalities, bridging Europe and Africa, driven by political goals and the pulse of the private sector.

  • Provide direct support to management, facilitating efficient operations of the team through meeting preparation and moderation, minute-taking and workflow coordination
  • Conduct research for donor requests, preparing responses to donor enquiries
  • Contribute to editorial planning and communication insights, assisting in shaping content and monitoring communication channels
  • Craft compelling content, writing articles and social media posts to keep our audience informed
  • Create visual material for social media, presentations, and website content to enhance our storytelling
  • Engage with our online community, managing daily interactions across social media platforms and updating our website
  • Collaborate on content across teams, occasionally coordinating with external advisors, partners and service providers to ensure content alignment
  • Support knowledge management, assisting in onboarding and implementing new knowledge management tools and strategies within the programme
