OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

L’Unite de gestion de l’information et des technologies (ITM) fournit des services de gestion de l’information et des technologies aux programmes de l’OMS, y compris les bureaux des equipes d’appui interpays (IST) et 47 bureaux de pays de l’OMS dans la region africaine. L’Unite est egalement responsable de la formulation, de la mise en œuvre et de la coordination des strategies et politiques des TIC dans la Region.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Le titulaire sera responsable de la supervision directe de ses assistants, le cas echeant. Il assure la livraison de services de messagerie electronique stables et securises, y compris des installations d’acces a distance et des configurations de la messagerie mobile ;1. Contribuer et aider a l’installation et administrer les serveurs du centre de donnees, les composants de la zone de stockage et les equipements et applications associes2. Administrer et surveiller les systemes de sauvegarde et les operations de securite associees3. Concevoir, installer et maintenir les services de reseau du bureau pays ;4. Planifier et mettre en œuvre l’exploitation quotidienne des services reseau au bureau ;5. Installer et maintenir les serveurs ;6. Developper et deployer des outils automatises de surveillance et d’analyse ;7. Prevenir les problemes et les pannes sur le LAN grace a une surveillance proactive et une maintenance preventive ;8. Elaborer et diffuser des statistiques mensuelles sur la disponibilite et les performances des services LAN ;9. Analyser et signaler les problemes rencontres sur le LAN, proposer et mettre en œuvre des solutions et / ou ameliorations ;10. Fournir un soutien aux points focaux informatiques dans les bureaux distants du pays ;11. Organiser en interne des ateliers de formation thematiques pour les utilisateurs finaux sur les systemes et applications informatiques (MS office, MS Sharepoint, etc.); 12. Effectuer d’autres taches au besoin.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Premier diplome universitaire ou equivalent ou, pour les candidats internes, formation professionnelle equivalente ou experience d’auto-apprentissage / travail en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe.
Desirable: les certifications ITIL, COBIT, Microsoft, CISCO seront un atout.

Experience

Essential: Avoir au moins dix (10) d’experience pertinente dans la gestion de materiel informatique, de logiciels, d’administration de reseau, de reseautage et de technologie de la communication
Desirable: Avoir une experience avec les agences des Nations Unies serait un avantage supplementaire.

REMUNERATION

WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at USD 33,709 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
