BACKGROUND:
The Finance Assistant, Financial Services is a financial administration role in terms of ensuring total compliance with IUCN policies. The overall objective of this position is to provide effective support to the ESARO Finance department in an effective, transparent and legally appropriate manner in conformity with IUCN -ESARO policies and best practice and standards.
Ensure Finance procedures are followed in payments and accounting documents are well filed;
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Prepare Staff Personal account reconciliations every month, distribute to staff and answer all issues raised by staff
Prepare suppliers reconciliations every month
Analyze suspense account
Check documentation for Expense claim for staff and ensure they are well supported to clear their Personal accounts
Prepare Expense claims for workshop participants paid directly to them
Reconcile credit card transactions with the ledger balance
Filing all financial documents and arranging the archives
Prepare for physical fixed Assets count by November 2024
Receiving and validating petty cash accountabilities
Maintain vehicle mileage records for all vehicles, reconcile the credit card fuel purchases
Maintain asset register for the regional office.
Assist Finance Officer to prepare Cost of employment verses staff time claimed report
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
