The end result of this transformation would be a country that is characterized by peaceful and inclusive politics and diversified economy, stable institutions, enforces the laws fairly, land tenure problems have been resolved, natural resources are efficiently managed and health and education standards have reached those of other middle income countries.

Context

Every year, from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day), communities around the world come together for the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV). This global campaign offers a powerful moment to stand together, raise awareness, and strengthen efforts to end violence against women and girls. Objectives The aim of the social cards is to unite and raise awareness on gender-based violence through a campaign of online volunteers and call for action to end violence against women in all its forms. 1. To promote coordinated multi-stakeholder efforts for improving access to justice and support services for GBV survivors. 2. To raise awareness about GBV prevention and response in schools and communities, engaging youth, community leaders, and faith-based organizations. 3. To increase public awareness through campaigns and educational outreach that challenges harmful social norms and promotes gender equality. This social cards used through the awareness-raising campaign is to broaden the reach of the 16 Days of Activism. The campaign will engage virtual audiences by disseminating information, survivor stories, and advocacy content on social media, maximizing public engagement and support for the cause.

Task Description

The creation of social cards by fifty (50) Online Volunteers with Gender Based Violence (GBV) messages for the 16 days activisms. These cards will help us raise awareness and visibility on Gender Based Violence (GBV) among students, communities, working population, engaging youth, community leaders, and faith-based organizations. These social cards will target audience through social media, online platforms as well as teamwork with other online volunteers. For this purpose, selected Online Volunteers, under the supervision and guidance of UNDP Gender and Communications Teams, will support by: – Discussing and determining the target audience, including needs – Develop outreach strategy and implementation – Advise on implementation – Share the messages on their own social media pages Selected Online Volunteers will be provided with information and material relevant and necessary to perform the task. Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to network and develop and hone their skills in arts, design, communications and related areas.
