Job Overview: At the IRC, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated creative Project Manager to join our team in New York, NY or remote. As a Project Manager on the Content & Creative Studio, you will have the opportunity to lead and successfully complete impactful creative projects and campaigns. You will play a vital role in coordinating and improving project management processes, ensuring the smooth implementation of our initiatives.

Your role will involve working with a diverse range of collaborators and third-party vendors, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. You will be responsible for leading projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, well-executed delivery within the specified scope and budget.

Major Responsibilities:

Creative Project Management:

• Field, evaluate, and quickly respond to project requests, defining resource requirements and negotiating assignments with functional managers.

• Ensure project feasibility and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.

• Develop detailed project plans to track progress and oversee projects from concept to completion.

• Collaborate with collaborators at all levels to lead kickoff meetings, project reviews, and ongoing updates.

• Collaborate with various team members to assess needs in stakeholder meetings.

• Provide knowledgeable, professional, and efficient support to various internal collaborators.

• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

Maintain and optimize coordinated project management processes:

• Standardize project management templates and tools to streamline workflow and improve efficiency across teams.

• Continuously analyze project data and performance metrics to identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions.

• Establish and enforce best practices for project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all team members.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to suggest and implement process enhancements.

• Leverage project management software to automate repetitive tasks and improve project tracking and reporting capabilities.

Operations Support:

• Create and maintain tools for supporting project management needs, including resource pages, folders, meeting scheduling, and note-taking.

• Ensure key processes are updated and maintained, supporting necessary trainings.

• Provide emergency backfill support as needed.

• Ensure vendor payments and contracts are addressed comprehensively, timely, and accurately.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in project management, account management, or creative production for Marketing/Communications.

• Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure within time-sensitive situations.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and social skills; ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team.

• Solid understanding of project management methodology, including the ability to develop detailed project plans, budgets, and status reports.

• Proficiency with Project Management Software/Work platforms.

• Experience with coordinated creative workflows.

• Knowledge of video, design, and copywriting/editing processes.

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and budgeting documents.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels

• Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.

Preferred experience & skills:

• Familiarity with marketing/fundraising campaigns.

• Experience with non-profit and international contexts.

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

• PMP Certification.

• This role may require working remotely full or part time and part time remote employees may be required to share workspace.

Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits. All US employees are eligible for sick time, a 403b retirement savings plans: up to 4.5% immediately vested matching contribution, plus an 3-7% additional IRC contribution, and an Employee Assistance Program which is available to our staff and their families to support in times of crisis and mental health struggles.

In addition, full-time employees are eligible for 10 US paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability & life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively) and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter costs. Part-time employees are eligible for a proportionate amount of paid time off. These additional benefits apply to employees who work at least 6 months within a 12 month time period.
