The Program for HIV and AIDS under the Health System and Population Studies Division (HSPSD) at icddr,b provides good quality HIV prevention services to key populations at risk of HIV infection since 2010. This has been made possible by working with the Government of Bangladesh (GoB), donors, NGOs and CBOs. Recently, the Program for HIV and AIDS has taken several initiatives to reach Hard-to-reach community groups with an innovative service delivery approach.
Key responsibilities:
The Field Worker will report to the Assistant Program Manager and will collect quantitative data from key populations at risk of HIV infection to enable intervention participants to enroll on specific studies. He/she is also responsible for explaining and providing HIV prevention services to the project participants and persuading them to provide biological samples (blood, urine and swab) to test Syphilis, HIV and other STIs within the guidelines of the study protocols and organizational values and guidelines.
