Background:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Public Participation Section (S3 level), the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:

  1. Assisting in the ExB project implementation, in line with project objective throughout the project cycle, including: meeting relevant interlocutors; implementing action plans; providing reports on budget implementation; supporting the documentation of the project for monitoring and reporting purposes; identifying Project-related risks;
  2. Maintaining close collaboration with OMiS colleagues to ensure alignment across the project; establishing and maintaining regular contacts with direct beneficiaries and all other relevant interlocutors involved in the field of advancing young women role in inter community dialogue and trust-building;
  3. Providing information for activity reports, technical/outcome reports, progressing reporting as well as the annual final self-evaluation reporting and ad hoc reporting, including by collecting relevant information and data. Collecting and collating information for the development of knowledge products, resources and publications related to the project;
  4. Supporting the planning and organizating of activities and events, including: contributing to the preparation of relevant background material and documentation; identifying participants and supporting their participation; arranging all needed logistical arrangements such as timely procure accommodation, transportation, translation services, collect invoices and other supporting documents; contributing to reporting and adequate
    archiving of all relevant activity documents;
  5. Supporting the organization of bi-annual meeting of the ExB Project Steering Board, including making all needed logistical and administrative arrangements, and contributing to adequate and accurate records;
  6. Supporting the dissemination of project outputs; supports communication-related activities, including communications/outreach strategy, and social media to disseminate information.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Completed secondary education, supplemented by formal studies in secretarial, administrative or project management matters.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant working experience with governmental, inter-governmental, international organizations or civil society organizations, preferably within OSCE, supporting projects and activities, notably related to gender equality, women and young women empowerment, women’s public participation.
  • Experience in managing projects funded by multiple donors.
  • Experience in project cycle management and supporting monitoring and evaluation of projects.
  • Computer literate with practical experience with Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and at least one local language

Remuneration Package:

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 1,084.00 Euro/month.

Social benefits will include participation in the OSCE group medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.

Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.

Please note that for this position the OSCE does not reimburse expenses such as travel in connection with interviews,tests, visas and relocation. Please be aware that the OSCE does not request payment at any stage of the application and review process.

The mandatory retirement age at the OSCE is 65 years for contracted positions at the general service, professional and
director level. The Organization shall apply an age limit of 63 years at the time of appointment as the incumbent selected
is normally expected to carry out the contractual obligation of two years.
