The Lab Business Development and Specimen Reception Unit oversees all laboratory sample collection centers of icddr,b throughout the city. The unit is responsible for coordinating various aspects of laboratory outreach operations, including client management, registration, billing, sample collection, and report delivery activities.

Brief Description of Position:

Assistant Cashier reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence and Analytics will be mainly responsible for performing following duties and responsibilities:

• Collect cash, cheques, mobile financial banking transactions, and other monetary instruments from relevant units or persons.
• Deposit all collections (cash, cheques, and other banking instruments) into the nominated bank(s).
• Prepare daily revenue reports using MS Excel and similar software(s)/ Internet/cloud applications.
• Regularly update the cash book.
• Ensure adherence to the center’s policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation, prepare information statements, and provide them to the supervisor as required.
• Uphold the confidentiality of information by adhering strictly to the laboratory confidentiality agreement, icddr,b’s code of conduct and other applicable policies.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Commerce/BBA in Accounting/Finance

• Must have knowledge of advanced MS Excel and similar software(s).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field.

Location: Dhaka.

Contract Type and Duration:

• Short Term Contractual Service Agreement basis; duration will be 11 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Tk. 37,661/-per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances;
• Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b, and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
