The Opportunity

The Business Development Manager will manage the Business Development Unit (BDU) which is responsible for identifying and funding opportunities in line with Plan International Sudan Country Strategic Plan (CSP) and Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) and program priorities, raising the country program funding portfolio, while supporting the country to enhance its positioning as a strategic partner among donors and National Offices, to enable acquiring of new grants. The Business Development Manager is responsible for writing quality and successful grant proposals in close coordination with the program and support team and strengthening systems and processes for effective grant management and compliance.

The Individual

You are a strategic leader with extensive experience in business development, humanitarian fundraising, and grant management. Skilled in writing successful donor proposals, coordinating consortium bids, and fostering partnerships with donors, governments, and peer organizations, you bring deep knowledge of donor funding requirements and humanitarian principles. With strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills, you excel in building high-performing teams, facilitating training, and ensuring policy compliance. Proficient in project cycle management and grant systems, you are committed to advancing Plan International’s vision and values while driving impactful programs for children, especially girls. Fluency in English is essential, with Arabic as an asset.
