CARE Denmark is seeking a Humanitarian Programme and Grants Manager (HPGM) to join our team and support our growing humanitarian portfolio. About the Role The HPGM will be part of CARE Denmark’s Programme, Grant & Compliance team , collaborating with CARE’s country offices to deliver humanitarian aid and climate innovation programs. Based in the MENA region, this role supports projects in Syria, Palestine, Yemen, and Jordan while extending to countries like Ukraine, Afghanistan, Sudan, Kenya, and the Sahel region . Working closely with the Senior Humanitarian Advisor and reporting to the International Director, the HPGM will coordinate with various departments, including finance, climate innovation, and private partnerships, to ensure seamless project management and compliance. Key Responsibilities Programme and Project Management Manage humanitarian programmes in collaboration with country offices and HQ thematic teams. Oversee project budgets, payments, and implementation monitoring. Coordinate country-level portfolio management. Monitoring & Evaluation Support M&E processes, ensuring data systematization and analysis for donor compliance. Monitor and ensure the accuracy of donor reporting and adherence to international guidelines. Grants Management Provide quality assurance and monitor deliverables such as proposals, budgets, and reports. Mitigate grant-related risks in coordination with relevant stakeholders. Fundraising and Partnerships Identify fundraising opportunities and build strategic partnerships. Collaborate with teams to strengthen donor relationships and secure funding. Required Skills and Qualifications Must-Have Skills Experience: 3-5 years in programme/project management, donor compliance, and reporting. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budget management and financial reporting. Analytical Ability: Proven capacity to distill complex data into actionable insights. Detail Orientation: Meticulous approach to monitoring and compliance tasks. Communication: Business-level proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written skills. Desired Skills Intercultural understanding and ability to navigate cultural differences. Experience in working with diverse teams in humanitarian contexts.
