Job Summary

The Human Resources Officer (Total Rewards) promotes the wellbeing of Fund employees by ensuring that programs, policies, and procedures for benefits, employment, compensation, retirement, and insuranceaddress workforce needs and are competitive. The Human Resources Officer’s primary role is to support the review, administration, and management of programs for staff and contractual employees. Key activities include reviewing programs and procedures, interpreting and developing policies, reviewing Administrative Review cases, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, and serving as a liaison with the Operations Division for escalated cases and queries as needed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Contributes to the design, review, and implementation of a variety of benefits programs/policies. Develops associated communications to staff members

2. Analyzes, interprets, and integrates technical information from various benefits benchmark surveys to enhance and maintain the Fund’s benefits program.

3. Assesses the Fund’s benefit policies and programs to ensure that they continue to meet evolving needs and support the broader HR strategy and business objectives. Recommends program changes as needed.

4. Supports the review and reform of benefits for HQ and overseas assignments, including those benefits applicable to staff and Long-Term Technical Assistance Experts. This will involve a case-by-case review and assessment of benefits received under current policies and a comparison with proposed policy changes and the associated impact analysis.

5. Drafts and updates benefit communications materials and conducts user-testing to promote accurate system configuration and a smooth user experience.

6. Analyzes utilization, financial impact, and long-term viability of benefits programs, leveraging insights to recommend program changes.

7. Point of contact for the HR Operations team members in answering complex benefits questions requiring further guidance from the relevant center of excellence (COE).

8. Researches external trends related to employer benefit offerings, leveraging insights to drive innovation and recommend revised benefits offerings that further support employee wellbeing.

9. Prepares final products within context of position.

10. Researches and analyzes HR technical issues and problems and develops solutions in a thorough, systematic manner. Contribute to the formulation of policy proposals and recommendations.

11.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, typically acquired by the completion of an advanced university degree, or equivalent, in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field; or a university degree, or equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of six years of relevant professional field experience; or master’s degree, or equivalent, in a related field.
