FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager for an anticipated USAID-funded project. The proposed USAID/Morocco EcoRise will support efforts to mitigate the impact of climate change in Morocco, promote climate change adaptation best practices, and strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change through education, economic growth, and governance programming. The Program will also seek to support Morocco in achieving its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), including adaptation initiatives. Through its implementation, the Program will support the definition of priority actions that will be the most impactful and relevant in catalyzing climate action, building resilience, particularly for marginalized groups, and reducing emissions. As USAID/Morocco aims to advance locally led development and climate action, the Program will explore holistic strategies to strengthen locally led programming that drives scalable climate action and inclusive systemic change.
Job Summary
The MELManager will be responsible for providing technical leadership in monitoring program activities, ensuring the collection of high-quality, verifiable data, and analyzing it effectively. The MEL Manager will establish and manage the project’s overall Activity Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan (AMELP), overseeing key components of the plan, such as indicator definition, target setting, data collection, analysis, and reporting on all key outcome, impactand custom indicators for the program. This individual will also be responsible for the knowledge management aspect of the project, ensuring that lessons learned are captured and analyzed.
The M&E Manager will oversee capacity building efforts by training staff, local partners, and other USAID/Morocco EcoRise stakeholders in MEL components. The individual will foster a collaborative and adaptive approach, ensuring that the results of M&E activities are fed back into the project and disseminated to the team for continuous adjustment. The M&E Manager will report to the project Chief of Party and oversee the MEL team.
The position will be based in Morocco. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the program and the selection of the final applicant is subject to USAID approval.
