Administrative Assistant

 

Overview

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks to support office operations and providing reliable and secure driving services, also maintaining vehicle conditions. This role requires a high level of integrity, understanding of administrative processes, and driving skills.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Assist the Finance and Administrative Officer and other staff with general office duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, maintaining office supplies, support organizing workshops, deliveries, running errands, etc.
  • The staff may also be expected to make frequent local travel, and occasional long-distance trips may be required. Driving an office vehicle as and when required in abiding by traffic laws and ensuring the safety of the passengers and the vehicle.
  • On some occasions, the staff may also need to lift light packages and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

 

Education, knowledge and experience

• Minimum General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level or equivalent.
• Experience in office administration support tasks
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of local driving routes and traffic regulations.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Proven experience as a driver with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Prior administrative or office support experience is a plus.

Terms and conditions

• This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position. CIFOR-ICRAF offers competitive remuneration in local currency, commensurate with skills and experience.
• The appointment will be for 1 (one) year with the possibility of extension contingent upon performance, continued relevance of the position and available resources.
• The duty station will be in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
