GIZ International Services is looking for an Expert (m/f/d) in the frame of the preparation for a participation in a tender “Municipal Infrastructure Development Programme (MIDP) – Project Preparation Facility Ukraine (PPF) 2025 – 2029”, funded by SECO.
Your tasks
Key expert 6 closely cooperates with key experts 1 (team leader and urban infrastructure project management expert), 2 (urban infrastructure project preparation expert) and 3 (Junior support) and leads the implementation of capacity development measures, which are provided to Ukrainian municipalities. This may include the provision of remote support (hotline), workshops and the exchange with experts of Swiss municipalities.
Additionally, key expert 6 ensures visibility of the MIDP in Ukraine through appropriate communication channels.
Your profile
General Qualifications and skills
- Master’s degree (for national key expert: minimum bachelor’s degree) in engineering, public procurement, architecture, or similar relevant discipline.
- Proficiency in English language.
General professional experience
- 5 years of experience in the procurement of civil works and associated services, or in the
implementation of municipal infrastructure projects in Ukraine. - Solid understanding of the life cycle of municipal infrastructure projects.
Specific professional experience
- At least 5 years professional experience in capacity development of Ukrainian municipal
administrations. Experience in conducting both in-person and on-line activities of capacity-building is an advantage. Working experience in a multi-stakeholder environment including Ukrainian and international experts is an advantage. - Good written communication skills in Ukrainian and English (minimum B2). Working experience in the field of communication in Ukraine, including modern communication channels (e.g. social media) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in communication campaigns or strategies as well as public relation kills are an advantage.
Location information
The project will be implemented mainly in Ukraine. This position is foreseen to be located in Ukraine.
