GIZ International Services is looking for an Expert (m/f/d) in the frame of the preparation for a participation in a tender “Municipal Infrastructure Development Programme (MIDP) – Project Preparation Facility Ukraine (PPF) 2025 – 2029”, funded by SECO.
Your tasks
Key expert 4 will assist key experts 1 (team leader and urban infrastructure project management expert) and 2 (urban infrastructure project preparation expert) with the implementation of all components, with a particular focus on implementation aspects in Ukraine. This includes coordination with the relevant actors at national and municipal level as well as ensuring coherence of activities with Ukrainian policies and the legal framework. This also includes initial screening of project proposals as well as the team lead function for the Ukraine-based team
Your profile
General Qualifications and skills
- Master’s degree (for national key expert: minimum bachelor’s degree) in engineering, public procurement, architecture, or similar relevant discipline.
- Proficiency in English language.
General professional experience
- At least 7 years of experience in procurement of civil construction works and associated services.
- 3 years of experience in leading and managing teams of technical experts in Ukraine
Specific professional experience
- 5 years of experience in the design, implementation and supervision of municipal infrastructure projects in Ukraine.
- Experience in the implementation of international projects of basic urban infrastructure in some of the following fields, complementary to the expertise of key experts 1 and 2, is an advantage: energy-efficiency (e.g. in buildings, district heating), renewable energy, public transport (urban and agglomeration), urban water supply and wastewater management).
- Working experience in civil engineering for municipal infrastructure in Ukraine: technical and financial planning as well as construction or supervision of municipal infrastructure projects in Ukraine. Working experience in quality assurance of civil works projects is an advantage.
- Working experience with projects financed by IFIs, SECO, SDC and/or the private sector is an advantage.
Location information
The project will be implemented mainly in Ukraine. This position is foreseen to be located in Switzerland.
