The project objective is to contribute to the national processes of strengthening family farmers in Brazil for poverty reduction and rural revitalization. The outcome is to implement differentiated policies and programs that improve the capacities of the national government, local and family farmers in areas such as ATER (rural extension and technical advisory services), Credit Programs, land access and governance, access to markets and the strengthening of cooperativism.
Reporting Lines
The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil – Programme.
Technical Focus
To develop technical content for the creation of guidance manuals aimed at the harmonization of regulatory parameters for agroindustries of animal products from family farming, cooperatives, associations, settlements, Traditional Peoples and Communities and to develop technical and guiding content on the steps that city halls and intermunicipal consortia need to establish Municipal Inspection Services and how to adhere to the SISBI-POA.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Develop technical document containing a proposal for the preparation of a physical and digital manual with guidelines for the processing and processing chain of eggs and their derivatives, considering the aspects of current legislation;
• Participate in initial alignment meetings and periodic meetings with the SEAB/MDA team to monitor activities;
• Prepare and deliver the products provided for in this Term of Reference;
• Present the results of this consultancy in relevant forums (seminars, academic meetings and technical events), during the term of the contract and at the request of the SEAB/MDA coordination;
• Participate in meetings/consultations with the DECOOP/SEAB team for alignment and feedback on the progress of execution and delivery of products.

Minimum Requirements
• University Degree in Agricultural Sciences according to the CAPES/CNPq table of areas of knowledge.
• Minimum experience of 08 (eight) years in sanitary legislation of products of animal origin or programs/projects related to agroindustry or agro-industrial activities of products of animal origin.
• Working knowledge (level C) of English or Spanish and Portuguese;
• National of Brazil or resident of the country with valid work permit

Technical/Functional Skills
• Desirable experience in formulating and/or working with normative acts related to food inspection and inspection.
